Taking a few months of careful preparation, Scotgold’s CEO Richard Gray was able to show the presenter around the mine, into the addit tunnel – and even pour some Scottish gold! Several locals from Tyndrum also featured in the piece, which aired on Monday 30th of January at 7pm.
Locals commented on their great excitement about the gold mine and what it means for their community. An interview with the owner of the very first 1 oz Scottish Gold Round also explains what motivated him to pay £21,000 for the first Scottish Gold Round, which he purchased through the auction in November 2016.
You can see the full BBC1 episode by clicking here, with the Scotgold feature at around 2.19mins.
